As many of you may already know, Basaikhi is an annual festival which marks the beginning of the harvesting season. For Sikhs, it also marks the dawning of our way of life.
Even though the days of growing up in rural India are a somewhat distant memory for me, the sentiment of Baisakhi will always remain. It is a time for appreciating what we have and of reaping and sharing the benefits of the hard work we have sown.
With that said, I wish you all a fruitful harvest season!
At the same time, I'd like to wish the entire Tamil community a happy Puthandu (new year).
