Gurcharan Singh Fighting Against Crime

Safer Communities: we boosted community safety by investing £3m for 40 additional Police Officers, £238,000 towards alley-gating and, CCTV in crime hotspots.

Crime and antisocial behaviour are top issues yet Labour’s targets and endless paperwork is preventing our Police from doing their job. The early release of 70,000 criminals compounds the issue.

Labour’s introduction of 24-hour drinking is a disaster. It’s caused disruption in our communities and has stretched already over-burdened Police resources.

If elected, I will support Controlled-Drinking Zones as well as community and healthcare projects to reduce alcohol-related crime.

If elected, I will aim to reduce bureaucracy by cutting through red tape and increase “on the street” community policing.
