I look forward to the day that The NHS plays a more reliable role in providing affordable Deantal care when needed. My family have been registered with a private Dentist for Many years past but the cost now is prohibitive to say the least. Inspite of the fact that no-one in the family smokes, drinks,or go on an annual holiday abroad each year, i find coping with the rising costs all around is extremely burdensome. I welcome focus on this issue .

I believe that cost is so prohibitive that those who are on borderline and are not entitled to benefits, can not afford dental treatment. I can give you an example as well, a friend of mine tried all sort of home treatment but did not visit a dentist because could not afford the treatment.

There is an issue of education here as well and it should start from Primary school with free dental check ups on a regular basis.
